Sylvia Arostegui is an attorney in the Real Estate Transactional Department of Trainor Fairbrook. Her primary area of practice is commercial real estate law. Prior to joining Trainor Fairbrook, Ms. Arostegui was with Latham & Watkins in their Los Angeles office, and Hunton & Williams in their Washington DC office.
Ms. Arostegui represents a variety of clients in all aspects of complex commercial real estate development and loan transactions. Ms. Arosteguiās representation of developers and investors extends to the acquisition, disposition, REO sales, receivership sales, leasing, financing, development, and construction of projects. She advises both borrowers and lenders in the context of acquisition financing, seller financing, construction financing, permanent financing, mezzanine financing, multifamily Fannie Mae financing, CMBS loans, loan workouts, defeasances of CMBS loans, forbearances and distressed real estate investments. In addition, she provides legal opinion letters on behalf of borrowers in connection with such loans. Ms. Arostegui’s experience also encompasses representing landlords and tenants in all types of leasing, including ground leases, office leases, and retail leases.
Ms. Arostegui is a former member of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California, Real Property Section. She has given seminars and presentations to various real estate industry groups including the State Bar of California, Real Property Section and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP).
